A solo indie hip-hop project from Minsk — kbkbts. (short for kubik beats) has existed since mid-2020. It was born out of a need to transform the artist's subjective perception of the surrounding world into musical vibrations of broken rhythms, filled with depth and meaning. It is the author’s response to their reality.


The mission of kbkbts. is to give every listener a sense of warmth and comfort, to fill their space with an inner fire and constructive energy through sound waves. The music reveals familiar genres from an unexpected and unusual perspective, coloring any situation with sonic shades, enhancing the mood, and creating the perfect backdrop for a pleasant time.


The creativity of kbkbts. is a reimagining of classic boom-bap drums in the artist’s signature style, using atmospheric samples from funk, jazz, and their subgenres. The near-old-school sound is harmoniously complemented by soft pads from chill and downtempo directions. All of this comes together into a warm, textured, and vintage lo-fi sound — like a cozy blanket woven from sounds. Each track is a story, a piece of the artist's soul, where broken rhythms meet a unique atmosphere.
