Sol Abyssorum is a one-woman project from Belarus, dedicated to reconceptualizing of ethnic ritual music through the scratched lens of postindustrial music culture.

Most of my songs are based on authentic ethnographic material. Generally I get inspiration from Belarusian folk songs and sacred music of Eastern Europe.

Now I'm working on first LP "Išła Kupałka", that is based on Belarusian ritual folk songs of midsummer night celebration, called Kupalle.

The name of the project means "The Sun of the Depths", it comes from the strangest and the most mystical book of Carl Jung, Liber Novus. "...And so thereafter, a new sun glowed, the sun of the depths, full of riddles, a sun of the night. And as the rising sun of spring quickens the dead earth, so the sun of the depths quickened the dead".
